This entire site is for people to vote for you? Do something really creative or really funny and people will vote for you. Doing a few light-hearted (but samey) videos is not the way to gain fame.
Which site are you talking about? gnooze.com? It is Marta’s site. As for the petition, that’s my idea, so if you have a complaint disguised as a critique, please direct it my way.
I don’t know where you’re coming from but this is her newscast. She has a consistent body of work. A style. 3 Headliners from the days news. She delivers straight news and then goofs on it. goofy news. gnooze. She’s done more than a few videos. They’re samey? That’s your criticism? So when you watch the evening news or a TV sitcom and it follows a format, that’s samey? She’s creating a consistent news show. You really make me mad. In fact, you make me want to strangle you. As far as I’m concerned I would like to see her be able to do this full time and do a 30 minute news show. I’d much rather watch her than the fakey talking heads that most of the networks have tried to force feed us. Eric, I don’t know who you are, but I smite thee.

I hope this wins because I would really like Jon Stewart to see you. I think he’d really like you. I think if he got a look at some of your work he’d snag you up as a correspondent. I really hope something fruitful comes of this. I don’t want to come off as some creepy, stalker-fan, so I stopped commenting as much. But you have something really special going for you. You have a personable demeanor and genuine humility that really sets you apart from every other newscaster. The combo of delivering straight news and then goofing on it seems like an easy thing to do. But you really have to be willing to be silly and lack the self-conscious inhibition that seem to come from everyone in Hollywood. I certainly don’t see Diane Sawyer or Katie Kuric being able to pull that off. You’re special and you create a special product.

Here is a strange question for you. What is being said in the background at the 15 second mark in the feb 28 video and the 17 second mark in the feb 27 video? I didn’t go back and check any others but imagine it is in them also as it is the intro music. To me it sounds like ‘I want to talk to her.’ Is that subliminal or what, wink wink nudge nudge? And the whole stag nation is so very proud of you for highlighting the biased way the main stream news portrays and demeans stags.

D’oh! What kind of Internet friend am I? I lost track of this site for a while and didn’t find out about the petition until today. I signed it with gusto, although I’m not quite sure if the web site took my vote. C’est la vie.
