You should have read the comments on the bongboing site. The Mark 12 in question is an active weapons system. The vacuum tube is probably similar to the one in peoples’ microwave ovens so don’t be fooled by it being a vacuum tube. It’s likely technology someone else would like to have since it is a nuclear bomb trigger, not something easy to design and build.
